League leaders, Whitley Bay & Tynemouth 2nd XI, continued their unbeaten run with a hard-fought victory over Darlington. Whitley Bay & Tynemouth secured a 2-0 win with goals from Matt Price and Tom Fuller.

Whitley Bay & Tynemouth started well, dominating the possession, but failed to capitalise on their chances. Early on in the first half, Ben Noble and Dan Adams both came close, forcing the Darlington goalkeeper into a save. Whitley Bay & Tynemouth had two short corners in the first half but after Dan Adams hit a shot wide and Colin Allen had a shot saved, the score remained level. Whitley Bay & Tynemouth had another short corner with Matt Price managing to score at the end of a creative move.

The second half saw good defensive play from both sides. Whitley Bay & Tynemouth had a short corner early on and Tom Fuller had a drag flick saved by the goalkeeper. Darlington proved they could still be a threat after a through ball found their forward at the top of the circle forcing Sam Read to come to the rescue with a crucial save. Darlington continued to hassle the Whitley Bay & Tynemouth defence, forcing another save out of Sam. Whitley Bay & Tynemouth recovered, creating some more chances of their own, with James Lowry coming close to scoring. Colin Allen had another shot saved at a short corner attempt. Darlington's defence looked like they were going to thwart Whitley Bay & Tynemouth's attempts at goal until Tom Fuller managed to find the net with a drag flick from the last short corner of the game.
