WBTHC 1 v Stockton 1
WBTHC 1s crushed Stockton 1s and continued to move towards the top of the table on a bright Saturday at North Shields. Throughout the first half the home team played patient neat passing hockey which meant Stockton rarely ventured out of their own half. As a result of their superior play and possession WBTHC took and an early lead through Andrew Titmus, which was then followed by 2 further 1st half goals from Alex Lockey who is starting to find his goal scoring form from midfield.
Five minutes into the second half the onslaught continued with a great finish from Russ Bowen and it was anyone’s guess what the final score maybe.

However WBTHC had a 10 minute spell of poor play and allowed Stockton to grab two goals back, one a screamer from their skilful forward and the home side needed to regroup before they let an easy win slip away. Showing great character WBTHC immediately hit back with a break and a close range finish from Andy Titmus and this seemed to reignite the passing flair and control which resulted in a further 3 goals, two from Russ Bowen to give him a well earner hat trick and final goal at the death from Harry Lewis who finished on his reverse stick from a tight angle to top off a fantastic team performance.
