WBTHC 1 v Newcastle University 1
WBTHC 1s got back to winning ways with a comfortable victory over local rivals Newcastle University. After last week's disappointing draw WBTHC took the game by the scruff of the neck in the first half, totally dominating possession and creating several great chances. A neat move and close range finish from John Wood and a well taken second for Harry Lewis, who slotted the ball passed the advancing keeper, gave WBTHC a well deserved half time lead.

During the second half WBTHC looked to kill the game off, by playing a very organised and patient defensive structure, allowing Newcastle to have the ball in their own half but making it very difficult for the home team to create any clear chances as they approached the WBTHC area. As Newcastle tired and became increasingly frustrated, any chance of them breaking the WBTHC defence, marshalled by Bawden and Wood, quickly slipped away and WBTHC would pick up their third win of the season in what has been a great start for the newly promoted club.
